19-year-old girl sets ex-boyfriend’s apartment ablaze, murders his girlfriend

A 19-year-old girl identified as Jemila Ibrahim has been arrested alongside her friend, Fatima Mohammed after they reportedly set ablaze the house of one Mohammed Yusuf, of Monkey Village, Lagos State; and his girlfriend, Rabi; on Wednesday, November 18.

 

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, Muyiwa Adejobi; says Mohammed, an ex-lover to the 19-yearold girl, Jemila; had the hint of the incident and rushed to the house where he met his house on fire but managed to rescue Rabi, his new lover, from the inferno and took her to the hospital where she gave up the ghost on Saturday, November 21.

 

Mohammed had alleged his former lover, Jemila Ibrahim; of infidelity before they broke up.

He later met and fell in love with his new lover, Rabi; that was caught up in the inferno. 

The duo of Jemila Ibrahim, f, and her friend, Fatimo Mohammed, f, of Monkey Village.

She accompanied Jemila to commit the heinous crime, have been arrested by the police operatives attached to Satellite Division of the command. ”the statement read.

Adejobi said the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu; has ordered that the 19-year-old girl be transferred to the State CID, Panti, for discreet investigation.

 

In other news, a newborn baby suffered severe burns moments after he was delivered in Calabar, Cross Rivers.

 

The newborn baby suffered burns after a lantern fell just after the child’s delivery.

 

According to Big Beezy, an Instagram user who shared the story, the mother of the child; identified as Mrs Okon Daniel, went to a “traditional delivery home” to have her child due to lack of funds to go to a proper hospital.

 

There was no power supply at the time of delivery, being on Saturday, November 14, 2020; so a lantern was used to illuminate the room.

 

Unfortunately, as the baby was making its entrance, the lantern fell and also caught fire, burning the child.

 

At the time the video was recorded, the baby was already 4-days-old and had also been transferred to a different hospital in Calabar for better care.
