This is done in order to aid our audience in understanding the timeframe that the singles were released. Indeed, the year 2020 has been one of the most tedious times in the lives of several people. (I) THE PRE-LOCKDOWN PHASE (January- March 2020)

This category is for the singles that hit the airwaves prior to the Coronavirus outbreak in Nigeria. Recall that the first Coronavirus case in Nigeria was recorded in February 2020, however, the federal  government initiated the lockdown in March 2020. The entertainment industry, alongside other sectors experienced drastic change as only essential workers were given the privilege to leave their various homes.

Due to the intense success of 2019 in the entertainment industry, several entertainers, especially musicians did not quickly recover from the hangover of ‘Detty December‘. A term coined by netizens for the festive period.

They took a little while to release new songs, as only a handful of mesmerising content was published.
