
A 50-year-old mother of four has taken her life after battling with depression as well as anxiety for several years.
The 50-year-old mother identified as Florence Owa allegedly committed suicide in Sapele, Delta State; by drinking a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper.
The incident happened at No 124 Ogbene Road on Tuesday, January 26; a few days after she was discharged from the hospital.
It was gathered that the deceased had been sick for some time and was also at home recuperating when one of her children came back and found her unconscious in the sitting room.
She was immediately rushed to the Sapele Central Hospital, where she was confirmed dead on arrival.

A resident of the area disclosed that Florence popularly called Floxy had been battling depression since her illness started.
The issue of suicide is fast becoming a trend in Nigeria among youths.
There have also been reports of many young people turning to suicide as an end to depression or other ills.
In a related development, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU has reportedly taken his own life. The OAU student identified as Oboh Emmanuel took his own life due to his poor academic performance.
