Police deploy more personnel to search for missing landlords

The Zone 2 Police Command has said it is not giving up on the search for the kidnapped landlords in the Isheri North area of Lagos State.

The zonal spokesperson, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, told PUNCH Metro on Wednesday that the police had deployed more personnel in the area to find the victims. Our correspondent had reported that masked gunmen, numbering nine, had emerged from the waterways around 8am on Saturday.

It was learnt that the assailants made straight for the men, who were on early morning jogging, around Lekki Gardens Estate. They were not landlords in the estate. It was reported that the kidnappers demanded N300m to free each of the victim, totalling N1.4bn. Read more
