Aisha Buhari: First Lady asks Nigerians to fight the ‘2 men’ slowing down her husband (Video)

Aisha Buhari, wife President Muhammadu Buhari, has called on Nigerians to rise up and fight the ‘two men’ who are hindering the efforts of her husband’s administration.

The First Lady, a few days ago, had, at a National Women Leadership summit organised by Project 4+4 for Buhari & Osinbajo 2019, announced that there were two very powerful men in the Presidency who have been making things difficult for the President to perform and deliver on his campaign promises to Nigerians.

Although she did not mention the names of the two accused persons, Aisha Buhari hinted that they constitute a powerful force in the government and have thwarted every effort by the President to function properly.

While delivering her speech, Aisha Buhari said:

“Our votes were 15.4 million in the last elections and after that, only for us to be dominated by two people… this is totally unacceptable.

If 15.4 million people can bring in a government and only for the government to be dominated by two people or three people, where are the men of Nigeria? Where are the Nigerians?

What are you doing? Instead of them to come together and fight them, they keep visiting them one after the other licking their shoes (I’m sorry to used those words).”

Aisha Buhari’s outburst is not the first time she has spoken out on issues affecting her husband’s inability to perform.

In 2016 during an interview with BBC Hausa, she had hinted that her husband’s government had been hijacked by a few people and did not know 95% of the people who were appointed into his cabinet.

“The President does not know 45 out of 50 of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years.

Some people are sitting down in their homes folding their arms only for them to be called to come and head an agency or a ministerial position.”
