Meanwhile, suspected hoodlums and land grabbers on Sunday invaded Isiu palace in Ikorodu, Lagos State; in a failed abduction of the newly installed monarch following sporadic gun shots at the premises.

Reports indicate that the monarch, Oba Okukayode Raji was given his staff of office by the Lagos State Commissioner for Special Duties, Wale Ahmed, on August 24, 2020.

However, he disclosed his surprise when the palace was invaded by the hoodlums on Sunday. The monarch told NAN that the hoodlums came in their dozens with dangerous weapons; adding that it took the intervention of local vigilante groups that averted their plot and chased them away.
