Drama as Bianca Ojukwu slaps Mrs. Obiano at Gov Soludo’s inauguration

Drama ensued on Thursday, March 17, 2022 as Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, the widow of the late Biafran warlord slapped Ebelechukwu, the wife of the outgoing Gov. Willie Obiano.

This occurred at the inauguration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as the Governor of Anambra.

The incident occurred immediately after Soludo took his oath of office.

Video footage obtained from the scene showed that Mrs. Obiano was the initial aggressor.  The footage showed dignitaries including Obiano were already seated at the event. Suddenly, Mrs Obiano stepped in, moved to the front row where the widow of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu was seated.

She had proceeded to say some words to Bianca. Reports reveal that she had allegedly challenged Bianca over her decision not to attend any events hosted by the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state. Unconfirmed reports also say she had called Bianca a bitch. However, 1st News is currently unable to independently verify these comments.

Thereafter, Bianca, who appeared angered, stood up and slapped Mrs. Obiano.

The action drew the attention of security agents and some personalities who stepped in to separate the warring ladies.

Mrs Obiano was later taken away and shortly afterward, her husband left the venue. The incident happened after the new Anambra governor had been sworn in.

Soludo was sworn in by the state Chief Judge, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu at the Anambra State Government House.

Meanwhile, in his address, Soludo said the new Anambra under his leadership would be a state of law and order.

He thanked the outgone governor, Chief Willie Obiano, and the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for their immense support.

He thanked the people of Anambra for interviewing him and employing him to serve them as governor.

Additionally, Soludo announced the suspension of all revenue collections in the state for one month. He also outlawed all cash payments to the Anambra government in Motor Parks, roads, or anywhere.

He emphasised the need for peace; calling on youths, politicians, and agitators to embrace dialogue.

“Today is my first day at work. We had more than a month since the election to celebrate our historic victory.

“Now is the time to work and there is no minute or kobo to waste in a funfair. In a few minutes, I will announce some of the principal officers of my administration.”
