
Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, has revealed that his joining the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) at the last minute of the just concluded Anambra State governorship election was to secure the Igbo name in Nigerian political sphere.
He said he was irked by the actions of the former governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi, who, he said, was throwing his weight around, trying to make himself lord over the entire state.
Ubah, who lost the contest for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), had, after efforts to get the party leadership correct the anomalies alleged by many party stalwarts failed, moved his structure and joined APGA, less than a week to the election, and campaigned vigorously for Obiano.
He had, in a press statement tagged: Afa Igbo Efuna, meaning, let the Igbo name not loss, announced his dumping of PDP for APGA and called on all well meaning Anambra people to support Obiano. Read more
