Arsenal striker, Alexandre Lacazette is being investigated by the club after a video emerged online; where he is seen inhaling gas from a balloon, according to media reports on Sunday.
The video circulated online showed the 28-year-old Arsenal and France striker appearing to inhale from the balloon; while sitting back as his eyes close.
“This is a private matter which we are taking seriously. It will be handled internally,” Arsenal said in a statement.
The incident comes after several players were warned by Arsenal in December 2018 for inhaling gas from balloons; believed to be nitrous oxide or “laughing gas”.
That was after CCTV footage of a private party at a club in August emerged.
Arsenal and the rest of the clubs in the Premier League are expected to decide on a return to group training.
Meanwhile, champions Bayern Munich scored a goal late in each half to beat promoted Union Berlin 2-0; in their return to the Bundesliga on Sunday.

League top scorer Robert Lewandowski converted a 40th minute penalty kick; while French defender, Benjamin Pavard headed in a corner kick in the 80th minute in an empty stadium. The result helped to keep the Bavarians in the driving seat for a record-extending eighth successive league title.
Equally important, they are now on 58 points, with Borussia Dortmund in second place on 54; following their 4-0 demolition of Schalke 04 on Saturday.
There are eight match days left in the season.
The Bundesliga is the first major sports league in the world to restart amid the pandemic. However, games are played without fans and with a strict health protocol.
