Ataga: Reps charge Police to ensure thorough investigation of Chidinma, murder case

The House of Reps has implored the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, to ensure a thorough investigation over the ongoing case of the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga allegedly murdered by Chidinma Ojukwu.

Also, the Reps disclosed that the ongoing media trial of Chidinma should be halted.

This followed the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by Rep Tolu Sadipe at the plenary on Tuesday, July 13.

Sadipe, while moving the motion, raised concerns over the unending parade and media trial of the suspect by the police.

The lawmaker said the police should rather conclude its investigation in Chidinma’s matter; and charge her to court for trial rather than the ongoing media trial the suspect is being made to go through.

1st News reports that Chidinma was first paraded by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, on June 24 at the Police Command in connection with the murder of Ataga.

The suspect has not been charged to court yet.

She has made a series of confessional statements through media interviews granted to both the print and electronic media; while in the custody of the police.

Meanwhile, in a video that went viral on Monday, Chidinma denied killing Ataga contrary to her initial confession.

Meanwhile, General Overseer of the Living Faith Church aka Winners ChapelBishop David Oyedepo, has revealed the reason for his absence at the burial of Prophet T.B Joshua, founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations.

According to Oyedepo, he loves all Ministers of God but cannot be friends with every one of them.

“I love Jesus and I am telling you by the Holy Ghost; do not be the enemy of your destiny. Act smart and walk in the truth. I love all ministers but I am not a friend to every minister. No, I cannot be,” Oyedepo said in a statement issued on Tuesday, July 13.

This came in the wake of criticism of popular ministers of God who refused to attend the burial.

Oyedepo, while preaching in his church, advised his members to be wary of who they associate with; as it can make or mar their destiny.

”People who scorn your God can’t add value to your life. There are people you must delete from your list of contacts. Delete them!

“There are people that you meet that would end your life and also delete them from your list.”
