Barack Obama names Rema’s “Iron Man” in summer playlist


Former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama has included Nigerian music youngster, Rema‘s hit single ‘Iron Man‘ in his summer playlist 2019.


Nigeria’s very own Mavin Records‘ Rema‘s “Iron Man” happens to be the only Nigerian artist in the 44-song list. Meanwhile, Obama’s list contains a number of notable American music stars. Among the songs listed are Drake and Rihanna‘s “Too Good” to Beyoncé and JayZ’s “Mood Forever”.


The former United States President took to Twitter to share his playlist for the summer.  Markedly, sitting pretty on No. 42 is Iron Man by Rema.


” With summer winding down, here’s a sampling of what Michelle and I have been listening to. Some new, some old, some fast, some slow. Hope you enjoy. “

Subsequently, Rema has been trending on the social media platform, Twitter since the news went viral. Indeed, numerous Nigerians are fascinated about the announcement. In particular, Rema’s record label boss, Don Jazzy, has not hidden his excitement and delight.


Significantly, Jazzy who is the founder of Mavins Records shared the information on his Twitter timeline.


Specifically, he wrote, “ahh Obama is listening to Rema. Check out number 42.”

Rema is the first artist signed under Jonzing World. Equally important, Jonzing World is the first imprint record label under Mavin Records.
