BET award: Burna Boy, Asake, Tems, Ayra Starr, Asake earn nominations

The four Nigerian artists nominated for the 2023 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards are Burna Boy, Tems, Ayra Starr, and Asake.

The Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy was nominated in the categories of Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Video Director of the Year, Viewer’s Choice, and Best International Act.

Tems, another Grammy winner, was nominated in the categories of Best Collaboration, Viewers’ Choice, and Best Female R&B/Pop Artiste.

But Asake and Ayra Starr each received one nomination. Ayra Starr and Burna Boy will compete in the category for the best international act, while Asake will participate in the Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act category.
