The Court of Appeal in Abuja on February 6, 2015 decided the case between the warring PDP factions in Anambra State. This will, hopefully, put paid to the crises rocking the party with the different factions conducting primaries and emerging with their own candidates for various seats.
The faction led by Chris Uba had its candidates published by INEC by virtue of a court injunction.
That injunction was today tossed out with the judge declaring it as ‘fraudulent’ and declaring the faction with Ms. Uche Ekwunife as candidate for Anambra Central zone as the bona fide one.
This comes after a botched reconciliation meeting in Awka yesterday by the South East Integration Committee led by former National Chairman of the party, Ahmadu Ali.
The ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party experienced troubled primaries and subsequent court cases in various parts of the country.
