President Muhammadu Buhari will storm Kano for the wedding fathia of his son, Yusuf which holds tomorrow, Friday, August 20, 2021.
1st News reports that Yusuf Buhari will be joined with his fiancée, Zahra Bayero at the high-profile ceremony.
Zahra is the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero.
The attendance of the President at the exotic wedding fathia scheduled to hold in Bichi, Kano, was confirmed by the Chairman, organising committee for the wedding, Shehu Ahmed. Shehu, who addressed newsmen in a press conference ahead of the event, revealed that the wedding Fatiha will commence by 1:30 pm after the Friday prayer.
Furthermore, Buhari’s prospective father-in-law will also be decorated with his staff of office by Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
“We have two historic events on Friday and Saturday in Bichi.
‘‘The wedding Fatiha of Buhari’s son with the daughter of Emir of Bichi and the coronation of the emir. President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to grace the wedding Fatiha of his son and the daughter of the Emir of Bichi in Bichi town on Friday.
“A special prayer would be conducted at the Central Mosque, Bichi, by 4:30 pm.
“Activities marking the coronation of the Emir include a coronation lecture to be held at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, on Thursday; while the ceremony for the presentation of the staff of office would be held at the Bichi stadium on Saturday.
“Adequate arrangements had also been put in place by the various subcommittees to ensure the success of the two events.”
1st News reports that the wedding witnessed the set-up of a 145-man strong committee; as well as an elaborate preparation which is expected to result in an extravagant affair tomorrow. In addition to the President, a number of serving and former state governors; members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dignitaries and key stakeholders in the polity are expected to grace the wedding.
Reports also indicate that security has been noticeably tightened in Kano State for the elaborate ceremony. Sources report that a heavy presence of security operatives have since descended on the Aminu Kano International Airport; which is expected to witness heavy traffic tomorrow.
