
Award-winning Afrobeats artist Burna Boy has responded to Davido‘s recent characterization of him as a “new cat” in an interview.
Davido recently described Burna Boy and a few other artists as up-and-coming performers in an interview.
In the viral video, Davido discussed how he and Wizkid were the first to blow things up and how happy he was to watch new artists succeed, like Burna Boy, Mayorkun, Asake, and others.
“Me and Wizkid were one of the first to blow it up, it feels good seeing the new cats coming up like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, a lot of new cats coming, killing it, Asake that’s on my album, so yeah I think the future of Afrobeats is in good hands.”
Now speaking out, Burna Boy who is unbothered by his comment shared photos from his highly successful London concert.
The singer made history as he sold out 80,000 capacity venue.

In a shady post, Burna stated that uniting people from all walks of life has always been his dream.
The Grammy singer also expressed gratitude for making it possible for him at his biggest show to date.
