Church of Satan disowns alleged Nigerian branch busted in Abia, tackles Nigerians

In what has turned into a trending topic on micro-blogging site, Twitter, the Church of Satan has disowned an alleged Nigerian branch in Ohafia, Abia State.

1st News reports that a certain Ifekwe Udo, also known as Lucifer or Fada-Fada was reportedly arrested today. In addition, Udo was accused of being the founder of a Church of Satan located in Abia.

Equally important, his church, The Assemblies of Light Bearer Greater Church of Lucifer, was demolished. The demolition occurred after the Police alleged that he had faulted the lockdown orders in the state. Following the news of his arrest, residents of the state had gone on the rampage, demolishing his church.

Meanwhile, sources disclose that Udo had allegedly been trafficking children and terrorising the community.

Reacting to the development, a Twitter user @ElvisChinedu12, had disclosed that the alleged founder had claimed to possess immense satanic powers, even as he disclosed that the man had also been involved in humanitarian activities.

‘‘People of Ohafia knew his evil practices but nobody could confront him because of his connections. He claims to have the power Satan has. He is known to use voodoo power on his Members.

‘‘He became popular in the past quarter of the decade for his visible effort in providing employment opportunities for the jobless youths of the community. He gave the jobless youth motorcycles on hire purchase. He later opened a brothel also in Ohafia with allowed unisex.’’

However, a new twist developed when the globally recognized Church of Satan dissociated itself from the Abia branch; as well as the arrested alleged founder whom it described as a scammer.

In reactions to a number of tweets which had sought to situate the arrested pastor as a Church of Satan founder in Nigeria; the Church of Satan had debunked the claims.

‘‘The group was called The Assembly Of Light Bearers and has nothing to do with us or Satanism. Please do not refer to them as Church of Satan. As we’ve repeatedly warned people, please get accurate information directly from churchofsatan.com.’’

Meanwhile, the Church of Satan has also been involved in some hilarious exchanges with some Nigerians. The body, which has repeatedly warned Nigerians against associating the arrested pastor with it; has faced a backlash from some spiritually-minded Nigerians to which it has responded in kind.
