The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday, March 26; announced 14 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 65.
This was confirmed by the NCDC Twitter handle; which further revealed 12 coronavirus cases were recorded in Lagos; while two were confirmed in FCT.
The health agency noted that of the 14, six were detected on a vessel; three are returning travellers into Nigeria and one is a close contact of a confirmed case.
The NCDC added that as of March 26; there are 65 confirmed cases, three discharged and one death.

It further said that further epidemiological information will be shared in their daily situation report, collated at midnight of each day.
Also, the Bauchi State government has confirmed another case of coronavirus, bringing the number of cases in the state to two.
State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aliyu Maigoro, announced this during a press conference on Thursday.
According to Maigoro, the first case is Governor Bala Mohammed while the second case is a 62-year-old male and a close friend of the governor.
Maigoro explained that 48 samples were taken for test and two have been confirmed positive.
The commissioner added that 37 others returned negative while the results of nine samples were still pending.
He noted that the State Ministry of Health has since begun the contact tracing of the second case.
