Coronavirus: I discovered the trick to surviving this pandemic in Lagos – Ella Temisan

Coronavirus: I discovered the trick to surviving this pandemic in Lagos – Ella Temisan

I’m giving out helpful tips today, folks. I discovered a trick that might help make living through this coronavirus pandemic better. It might help you or you could pass it on to somebody else.

Clearly, we are still in a raging pandemic caused by the coronavirus; even though we have tried hard to ignore it. Jobs have been lost and many are hanging on a balance. Salaries have been cut and businesses are not turning in profit as they used to. If you can relate with any of this unfortunate wahala, kudos to you for holding up this far. It isn’t easy.

The one thing that seems to be working for anybody with skill; however, during this coronavirus scourge, is cooking. It could be either for yourself or for sale. The point is that knowing how to cook can save your life now.

Although this article does not have data to support my claim; cooking tutorials on YouTube are getting lots of views during this coronavirus pandemic. It turns out that people are either learning to cook for survival or to try new things.

I happily represent the group that is trying new things in the kitchen. I ‘baked’ a no-oven banana loaf recently and I think I am ready to establish a baking business. Not to brag but I impressed myself.

Asides learning how to cook, some people watch these cooking videos as a form of therapy. I can’t say that I’m surprised at anybody finding cooking videos therapeutic. When you combine ASMR and untouchable calories, what you get is peace of mind.

For your information, ASMR means Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. On YouTube, ASMR videos are the ones that come with a soothing soundtrack and clean transitions/colours; to make you feel relaxed and even tingly. Basically, you just watch blended ata rodo frying in bleached palm oil; while listening to gentle instrumentals that make you want to hug strangers.

Who would have thought that YouTube will give us therapy and hunger eradication at the same time?

Folks, now is the time to look within. If you can make a decent meal, you might want to look into providing food and catering services to support yourself. Certainly, you will be faced by logistics, registrations and hygiene requirements. But if you can get up and go,  you might enjoy good profits. Feeding the hungry is a Christian thing to do, after all.

It would be your gain to get paid doing something you’re skilled at and double if you enjoy it.
