Coronavirus: Kemi Olunloyo claims Nigerian celebrity has been infected with the virus

 

Nigerian media personality, Kemi Olunloyo has stated in a recent post that a well known Nigerian has contracted the coronavirus.

 

Taking to her various social media accounts, she alleged that the Nollywood celebrity attended the recently concluded AMVCA ceremony on Saturday, March 16. She admonished everyone who was at the event to self-isolate before the virus escalates immensely.

 

She also advised Nigerians to take preventive measures seriously by washing their hands regularly, wearing masks, and staying far away from celebrities for now.

Kemi Olunloyo is renowned for her controversial statements and public outbursts.

 

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government on Wednesday, March 18 banned all religious gatherings expected to consist of over 50 people within the state. Mainly affected are churches, mosques and other religious gatherings which usually draw sizeable attendances.

 

The decision was reached on Wednesday after a closed-door meeting between the Lagos State Government officials and religious leaders.

 

Equally important, the meeting was held at the Press Centre, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja.

 

Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Olanrewaju Elegushi, announced the development to newsmen. He said that the decision was taken in the interest of Lagosians. Further, he disclosed that it was necessary toward curbing the spread of the dreaded coronavirus.
