A magistrate’s court sitting in Kano, yesterday, remanded a 55-year-old labourer, Mu’azu Abdullahi, in prison custody for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter. The accused, who lives at Kabuga Quarters, Kano, is facing charges of rape and incest.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Haziel Ledafowa, told the court that one Sadiya Mu’azu of the same address reported the case to NAPTIP office in Kano State on March 15. Ledafowa said that about four months ago the accused forcefully had sexual intercourse with his 16-year-old biological daughter, which caused the victim harm.
