Mavins record label CEO, Don Jazzy has congratulated Nigerian recording artists with the suffix ‘boy’ for enjoying a productive 2019.
Taking to the microblogging site, Twitter, Don Jazzy celebrated his protegee, Rema alongside his contemporaries Joeboy and Fireboy DML then Grammy-award nominee, Burna Boy.
The year has indeed been an amazing one for a number of relatively new artistes in the Nigerian music industry, and ace producer and Mavin Record boss, Don Jazzy, recently took time out to celebrate the young talents.
He acknowledged all that the aforementioned artists achieved in the course of the year. Rema who is signed to his label, Mavins have released 3 music projects in 2019.

He pointed out in his tweet that it is indeed the year of the boys. “Year of the boys. Fireboy, JoeBoy, RemyBoy and oga pataPata African giant Burna Boy,” the music producer’s tweet read.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy is currently at the peak of his career and he has been productive throughout the year. Recall Burna Boy won an award at the 2019 BET Awards.
On Wednesday, November 20, the nominees for the 2020 Grammy Award was unveiled. Subsequently, the African Giant has received a deserved nod from the organizers of the stellar award.
As a matter of fact, the award itself will be held on January 26, 2020; and it will be hosted by Alicia Keys.
Equally important, nominees were led by Lizzo with eight nominations. Further, she is followed by Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X with six nominations each.
