#EndSARS: Protesters block roads in Osogbo in spite of curfew

#EndSARS protesters on Wednesday mounted barricades at the mainstream Olaiya Junction, and the suspending streets, in Osogbo, Osun; notwithstanding the time limit forced by the state government on Tuesday .

 

1st News reported that the protesters’ were out as ahead of schedule as 8 a.m; gathering and impeding the Olaiya intersection and different streets with tires, woods, blocks and different things available to them.

 

Vehicles and business bikes that were attempting to go through the intersection were kept from pushing ahead as they were turned around to take elective courses.

 

In any case, seen that beside the nonconformists that assembled at the intersection, banks, shops, market; and others organizations were closed in consistence with the time limitation request forced by the state government.

 

A few occupants were similarly observed moving about by walking; while some assembled near the Olaiya intersection to watch the unfurling functions.

 

Some rebellious business motorcyclists and business smaller than expected transport administrators apparently was working and moving around.

 

1st News reported that the police and security operators were not seen anyplace to implement the time limit request.

 

Osun Government, through an announcement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji; on Tuesday, forced a 24-hour check in time on all pieces of the state, compelling from 11.59 p.m Tuesday, Oct. 20, until additional notification.

 

Government said that the choice followed the lamentable and risky measurement the #EndSARS fights had accepted the nation over; especially in the South-West states, in addition to the way that the fights had been hijacked by criminals and hoodlums.
