
Toke Makinwa who got married in a secret ceremony in January, 2014 has opened up on the reason for the secrecy. The television and radio personality said, “There was just so much about both of us out there. I think it happened the way it was meant to happen. If we didn’t do it this way I don’t think it would have happened till now.”
There was nothing secret at all about the wedding of former Senator, Florence Ita-Giwa’s daughter, Koko and her heartthrob Chimaobi in Lagos over the weekend. The wedding had in attendance the crème de la crème of society including Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, veteran musician Onyeka Onwenu and others. The reception which took place at Eko Hotel was flowing with celebrities, politicians and royalty.

Tiwa Savage has become something of a wedding singer as this month she has performed at two highbrow weddings: Koko and Chimaobi and Olanike and Afolabi. Olanike is the daughter of Lagos business man Tunji Olowolafe and the wedding took place in Luton, UK with the proud father of the bride flying over 200 guests to the venue. Davido and Iyanya also performed at the extravaganza.
Another proud father, Orange Drugs Chairman, Tony Ezenwa will be giving his daughter Uchenna Cynthia away on Saturday, October 11. This will be the second wedding in the family in less than three months as his second daughter Chinwe, got married on August 30th.

In the music scene, Wizkid, has put his beef with fellow musician Davido behind him as he releases his last album with record label EME, Ayo today. The 18-track album will feature collaborations with music heavyweights Fela Kuti, Phyno, Akon and others.
Another much anticipated album coming out this week is Timaya’s Epiphany due for release on the 25th of September. Timaya has Patoranking, Terry G, Tuface and Shina Peters on the album. The album will be released in his absence as Timaya is on a European tour with Germany, Italy and Holland on his itinerary

Another funnyman, I GO DYE is still making waves as he recently returned from Dublin, Ireland for the Nigerian Carnival. The trip was also for charity, as he “was there on humanitarian grounds to help funds for orphans,” he revealed.
