Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), has mocked the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the current factionalisation dividing the party.
Fani-Kayode made this assertion on Friday, September 23, 2022 via a tweet posted on Twitter.
This was after Wike made astounding revelations about the fallout over the insistence of Iyorchia Ayu to remain as the PDP National Chairman.
As a result, Wike’s camp withdrew from the campaign team of Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate. The move comes ahead of official commencement of campaigns ahead of the 2023 elections.
In his tweet, Fani-Kayode said; “One thing I will say for the Wike group in PDP is that every single one of them stood with GEJ in the 2015 presidential election.
“Conversely every single one of the key players on the other side including Atiku, Tambuwal & Saraki betrayed GEJ in 2015.
“Karma is a bitch.”

Meanwhile, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Friday, September 23, 2022 revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, is eying the Secretary to Government of the Federation position should the party wins the 2023 presidential election.
“Some people have been given positions as we speak. Ayu wants to become the SFG. These are things happening in the party that we can’t say in public,” Wike said.
He disclosed this during a media parly in Port Harcourt on Friday.
This is as the governor boasted that though no one was above the party; those who left the party during the height of its crisis in 2014/2015 cannot suspend him. He said the crisis in the main opposition party was more than what was being reported in the media; adding that for the sake of peace, he won’t divulge critical information to the public.
Wike maintained that he won’t be defecting to any other party but he would ensure that justice was done and the chairmanship position moved to the South.
Meanwhile, Wike revealed that the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, wooed him to join the ruling party with a senatorial ticket.
He said the former Lagos State governor offered him the ticket after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate; Atiku Abubakar, failed to fulfill his promise after he emerged as the party’s presidential flagbearer.
However, he said he turned down the offer and insisted that he would remain in the main opposition party; despite his grievances, adding that he never contested the primary to settle for a vice-presidential or senatorial ticket.
