Nigerian singer, Fireboy alongside, Burna Boy and Rema have been featured on the soundtrack for the video game, FIFA 21.
It’s a dream come through for the singer, Fireboy. His single, ‘Scatter’ was included on the music list; one-year after he proclaimed his heart’s desire on the microblogging site, Twitter.
This was what he tweeted in 2019,
“Imagine buying FIFA 20; getting home to play it; and the first song that comes on is Fireboy DML’s ‘Jealous’ imagine it.”
Although he wanted ‘Jealous‘ to appear in the video game, his other single from the album, ‘Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps’ has been featured in the FIFA 21 edition.
Equally important, the deal negotiated by EMPIRE Publishing & YBNL makes Fireboy the first Nigeria-based artist featured in the official FIFA 21 game soundtrack; which is set to launch worldwide on the 9th of October 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Other Nigerians who feature on the Soundtrack are Rema with ‘Beamer‘ as well as ‘Location’ by Santan Dave, a British rapper of Nigerian descent. ‘Location‘ also features Grammy-nominated Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy.

2020 has been a great year for the 24-year-old Nigerian singer. His single, ‘Champion’ was also used by the UEFA Champions League winners, Bayern Munich; to celebrate their UEFA Super Cup triumph against Seville on Friday, September 24.
The song they used as the soundtrack was the aptly titled, ‘Champion’ by Nigerian star, Fireboy DML. The song was also the opening track off the Fireboy’s sophomore album, Apollo.
