
Google services and websites including YouTube, Gmail, Google Assistant, and Google Docs have all suffered a widespread outage. DownDetector indicates that the outage affects both Google’s business and personal services, and started at about 11:40 GMT for Gmail.
Reports circulating on Twitter states that users were experiencing down time on some Google services. Gmail and the hashtag “#YouTubeDOWN” are also beginning to trend. The status page for Google’s services is reporting that they’re all experiencing an outage. YouTube’s homepage is showing the words “Something went wrong…” with a carton depicting fixing in progress.

The Team YouTube Twitter account acknowledged the issues in a tweet. “We are aware that many of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now – our team is aware and looking into it. We’ll update you here as soon as we have more news,” it tweeted.

It’s not only workflow and entertainment reliant on Google Workspace that is affected, users are also reporting that smart home gadgets integrated with Google Assistant are experiencing downtime. A Home user tweeted being in darkness because he couldn’t on the light
