Some gunmen, suspected to be sea pirates, have attacked a Yenagoa-bound passenger boat, shooting two passengers – a pregnant woman and a youth.
It was learnt that the pregnant woman, Gulu Leghemo, was shot in the stomach.
Punch Metro gathered that Leghemo and the youth, identified only as Billy, had been rushed to a medical facility in Koluama 2, in the Southern Ijaw Local Goverment Area of Bayelsa State.
The boat was said to be travelling from Koluama to Yenagoa, the state capital, when the pirates struck between Koluama 1 and 2 area of the waterways. Read more
