Harry Kane submits transfer request, sparks scramble for signature

Premier League hotshot, Harry Kane has again told Tottenham Hotspur he wants to leave this summer.

The development has now ignited a mad scramble for his signature from interested clubs.

Sky Sports News reports that Spurs are now making enquiries about replacement centre-forwards; an indication that the club are willing to consider the feelings of their 27-year-old talisman. The club reportedly do not want to sell their prized asset. But Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been in touch with Kane’s representatives CK66; expressing a desire to sign the England international.

Sky reports that the preference of Harry Kan is to remain in the Premier League. Also, he wants to have his future resolved before turning out for England at this summer’s European Championships in June.

The medium says Harry Kane has made no secret in recent interviews that he wants to compete for Europe’s top team trophies; having found them out of his grasp at both White Hart Lane and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Tottenham is believed to have persuaded him to delay plans to leave last summer; especially after Jose Mourinho had replaced Mauricio Pochettino earlier in the 2019-20 season.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane has no end of potential suitors.

Sky Sports News reported last week that United are not expected to target another centre-forward this summer after re-signing Edinson Cavani; preferring to focus on strengthening at centre-back and central midfield. There is also an expectation that signing Harry Kane will be too difficult and that Erling Haaland will stay at Dortmund.

Meanwhile, City also have Kane, Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Danny Ings on their list; as they look to replace Sergio Aguero. Chelsea too have been linked with Haaland, Lukaku and now Kane.

Further, Harry Kane is reported to have labelled Tottenham’s season as disappointing. Also, he has admitted his desire is to win trophies, after being named Player of the Year at the London Football Awards last month
