Ikorodu Bois, a creative unit in the Nigerian comedy scene has been recognized by organizers of Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award.
On Sunday, February 7, they received the nomination in the Favorite African Social Media Star category of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
The young comedians recently confirmed their latest feat, a first-time nomination for the 2021 edition of the renowned kiddies award.
They revealed via their social media handles that they were nominated in the favourite African social media star category of the awards billed to hold on March 13, 2021.
Equally important, the late 2010s and early 2020 have has been an amazing phase for the Ikorodu Bois. Back in June, amid the Covid-19 lockdown; the skit makers got an exclusive invite to Hollywood for the premiere of ‘Extraction 2’ by the Russo brothers.
The group consisting of Muiz, 15, and Malik,10, and their cousin, Fawas Aina, 13, recently made headlines after they received an invitation by the Russo Brothers to the global premiere of their upcoming sequel, ‘Extraction 2’.
Their 23-year-old brother, Babatunde Sanni manages and edits their often viral videos.
Equally important, this won’t be the first time that the creative crew will be getting some Hollywood star attention.
Months back, the boys caught the attention of Will Smith after they recreated the ‘Bad Boys Forever’ trailer. Other stars like Dwayne Johnson and Lebron James have also shown the boys some love in recent times.
Prior to their Hollywood invitation, the boys had become sensations for their creative remake of trailers.
