Iraqi protest has resulted in 73 deaths

The Iraqi Human Rights Commission revealed on Saturday that a total of 73 people have so far been killed since the beginning of the protests in the country on Tuesday.

More than 3,000 individuals have also been injured as a result of clashes between the protesters and the security forces. The Iraqi commission also added that the death toll is likely to rise. This is because some of the wounded are in critical condition.

Among the casualties are also security personnel targeted by the protesters.

Meanwhile, a medical source revealed that nearly 100 people have been killed since Tuesday. This was when thousands of Iraqis took to the streets to protest against the poor public services, corruption, and high rate of unemployment.

The source also said that part of the injured are receiving medical treatment at home. They fear being arrested in case of going to the hospital.
