Johnny Drille revealed in a social media post that his debut studio album is ready. He is yet to name the unreleased project.
The Nigerian recording artiste who is signed to Don Jazzy’s Mavins Records stated that he spent five years recording the album. Fascinated at the completion of his project, he mentioned that he recorded the last song on the album around 3:24 pm on Thursday afternoon.
Johnny Drille whose real name is John Ighodaro has released numerous singles, however, he has never compiled a complete body of work.
Making the announcement on Thursday afternoon, multi-instrumentalist said it took him five years complete this work.
Here is what he published on his verified Twitter account;
“Today, at exactly 3:24 PM I finished recording the last song on my album. 5 years of labor of love, and here we are. My precious baby is about to be birthed, finally”
Drille went on to share photos of himself in the studio during recording sessions.

Meanwhile, on the photo-sharing app, Instagram, Drille shared another lengthy narrative what inspired the hit single, ‘Finding Efe’. On his IG post, he shared how he lost a beautiful lady due to his own inabilities to captivate.
In the end, Johnny Drille admonished his followers to learn from his mistakes and be more confident in themselves.

“At around this time, four years was the last time I’d run into Efe. Never saw her again after that time.
Moral Lesson: 2020 is almost here, if you really like or love someone, you should let them know. Instead of crushing from a distance all year just give it a shot. Worst case scenario they say no. It won’t be the end of the world, you won’t die.
I’ll be waiting for your testimonies, all the best.”
