Investigative Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has taken to social media; to reveal how she was not a part of the horrible helicopter crash that happened on Friday, August 28 in Opebi, Ikeji, Lagos State.
The helicopter crash in Opebi has claimed the lives of three people.
Kemi Olunloyo has revealed how she narrowly escaped being a victim of the crash.
“I lived in Opebi, Ikeja for 8 mos when I moved to Lagos 2019. I often walked to my dentist at Salvation, Spar & Diva cakes.
”LASG Helicopters hovered in the sky as I sat by the pool. Today I heard a chopper CRASHED next to my house. God has really fought for and protected me 2020.
”Sadly I heard that 3 people died 😢in that crash and people on the ground were untouched. Ironically my artist took me to the foot surgeon today and was heading to mainland. I wanted to visit my dentist for a cleaning; but decided to stay back as he was running late for his appt😲”
1st News also reported earlier on Friday, that panic enveloped Opebi area of Ikeja, Lagos; owing to the helicopter Bell 206 crashing into a building in the area.
The helicopter crash, which occurred at about 12.30pm, at 16A Salvation Road, Opebi, Lagos; also claimed the lives of two of the three crew members on board instantly.
Quorum Aviation identified the three victims in the accident. It likewise noted that those aboard the crashed helicopter were its crew members. This was contained in a statement; issued by the company after the crash on Friday.
Meanwhile, investigation has commenced into the helicopter crash.
Initial reports indicate that the crashed helicopter had no black box aboard.
