
Operatives of the Ikorodu Division of the Lagos State Police Command have intercepted two commercial buses loaded with large quantities of live cartridges, three dismantled motorcycles, and some personal effects at Poromope Estate, Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The suspects, 35-year-old Tukur Abdullah, 36-year-old Dahiru Idris; as well as 50-year-old Muazu Telim were on their way to Katsina State; according to the Lagos State Force Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin.
Police
The Command recovered exhibits as well as the vehicles, with registration numbers KMC 438 YK and KMC 394 XF. They have been transferred to the Lagos State Command Headquarters, Ikeja for further investigations.
Meanwhile, the Inspector-General, Usman Baba, has warned the applicants; as well as officers and men of the Force who will be actively involved in the forthcoming physical screening exercise for applicants; who successfully registered for admission into the 9th Regular Course of the Nigeria Police Academy Cadet Degree Programme; to shun illegality and any other forms of criminality during the exercise, as such would invite severe sanctions.

The IGP made the call while taking briefings on the ongoing admission process into the Academy. The briefing came from the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Department of Training and Development; DIG Mohammed Dan-Mallam, and the Commandant, Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, AIG AA Abdulrahaman, on Friday in Abuja.
According to the Force Spokesperson, Chief Superintendent of Police (CPS) Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP said, the screening exercise will commence from Monday 26th September 26, 2022, to Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 8:00 am daily.
