Spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Bala Elkana has insisted that embattled Nigerian music video director, Clarence Peters will remain in detention until the autopsy result is released.
According to Bala Elkana, the spokesman of the Lagos Police, Clarence Peters will be in their custody till further notice.
The cinematographer was arrested by the police over the controversial circumstances behind the death of a dancer and video vixen; fondly identified as Picture Kodak.
Bala Elkana on Monday, May 4, 2020, said that the music video director is still in detention.
”My response has been clear. Do we have him in custody, I say we do. Why do you have him in custody?
”We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the dancer,” he said.
“We are also waiting for the autopsy result. The investigation is a natural cause. It is important for him and it is also good for any other person who was there. If nobody has a hand in it, the report will clear everybody.
”If the result says it is a murder case, the law will take its cause. That is exactly why we have him, that is exactly what we are doing.”
During the early hours of Monday, the music director came out to debunk the news that he was arrested.
Composing a lengthy narrative on Instagram, Clarence alleged that he turned himself available for questioning after he was invited this past weekend.
