A student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH has alleged that he was robbed by SARS operatives in Ogbomosho, Oyo State.
On Tuesday, February 18, the student revealed that he was on his way to pay his tuition fees; when he was waylaid by four officials of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. In his statement, the 17-year-old student noted that the money in his account was intended for his tuition fee; as well as that of his brother.
The LAUTECH scholar took to the microblogging site, Twitter to cry out after he was bullied and coerced to appease the SARS operatives with his school fees. According to the victim, the officials threatened to shoot him if he failed to comply with their demands. Further, he mentioned that they emptied his account; simply because he was profiled as an internet fraudster aka Yahoo boy.
Note that they found no evidence on him ot back up this claim.
The youngster has tagged popular socialite and human rights activist, Sega Link on Twitter. He has also provided essential receipts to buttress his claim that he was robbed by SARS operatives.
He has also urged for an immediate investigation to commence as he has a deadline to meet up pertaining to his school fees. In fact, he is expected to pay his school fees on or before Monday, February 24.
On Tuesday afternoon, the young lad wrote, ‘I was robbed by 4 Sars operatives in Ogbomosho Lautech. They came with guns and collected all the school fees.
I have a deadline to pay the school fees before Monday. They didn’t listen. They threatened to kill me if I don’t send the money. @segalink please help me sir please sir’
