The price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in Benue state has hit the N500 per litre mark even as the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in charge of Benue and Nasarawa states have turned a blind eye to the situation.
In some parts of Benue such as Gboko Local Government Area (LGA) the product, which could be procured from the filling stations sells for between N200 to N250 and N300 to N350 by black market racketeers, while in Makurdi no filling station was selling at Christmas and Boxing Day. Read more
