Mercy Aigbe Adeoti, a Nollywood actress, has received a new title from the Muslim world.
ABD Azeez Islamic Foundation has conferred the title of Arowoshadinni upon the actress who converted to Islam after marrying filmmaker Kazim Adeoti.
The actress shared the happy news online, reintroduced herself with her new title, and expressed her gratitude for the honor.
“Let me Re-Introduce myself. Hajia Minnah Anulouwapo Mercy Adeoti (Arowoshadinni). So henceforth kindly add Arowoshadinni to my name. Big Thank you to ABD AZEEZ ISLAMIC FOUNDATION for this honor!”
Taking to her comment section, many of her fans rejoiced with her.
Kazim Adeoti, her husband, also penned “Alhaja Minnah Arowoshadinni with the H.”
“Congratulations to Alhaja Arowoshadinni,” wrote actress Kemi Afolabi.

Recall that Mercy Aigbe converted to Islam after her marriage to Kazim Adeoti. The actress also adopted the Muslim name Hajia Minnah for herself.
Speaking about the origin of her name, Mercy Aigbe disclosed that Kazim Adeoti, her husband, was the one who gave it to her. She further said it signifies mercy is a gift from Allah.
Even though the name is uncommon, her spouse suggested it because of its strong, endearing, and special meaning.
To solidify her conversion to Islam, Mercy went to Hajj with her husband, Kazim Adeoti in June.
