On Sunday, October 6, BBNaija housemate, Mercy made history after she emerged as the first female winner of the most viewed reality show in Nigeria.


Mercy is officially the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 4, Pepper Dem Edition. Mike had to settle for the Second Position.


Meanwhile, She finished miles ahead of Mike with 41.77% votes. She is the first lady to be crowned the winner of the BBNaija reality show.

Recall that five housemates made it through the 99th day of the reality show. Specifically, they are Frodd, Omashola, Mercy, Seyi and Mike.



Meanwhile, the Imo-born reality show star took home the N30m cash prize. Also, she received a brand new car and other gifts which makes up her winning to N60m.


On the other hand, Mike who is the first runner-up was also announced as the winner of the arena games for having the best time. For this, he took home the sum of N2m cash prize.



Mercy is now the first female housemate to win the reality show as its previous winners have all been male housemates.


The 2019 edition of the Big Brother Naija Reality show recorded over 240 million votes. Furthermore, over 50 million votes were recorded in the last week of the reality show.
