Boko Haram terrorists have set up a radio station which now broadcasts their activities. The FM station is broadcasting on 96.8 frequency, the Hausa service of Voice of America has said. VOA further reported that, villagers living in the village of Tolkomari in the far north of Cameroon said they tune to the station which spreads Boko Haram’s propaganda challenging statements from authorities that they are winning the war. Buhari extends stay in London till Sunday

President Muhammadu Buhari will not return to Nigeria from London, where he is spending his 10-day medical vacation, until Sunday. Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo disclosed this to State House correspondents on Thursday shortly before the commencement of a meeting of the National Economic Council at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. MTN To Invest N141bn On Network Expansion

MTN Nigeria is set to spend N141.05 billion ($716 million) to expand its network nationwide as part of its 2016 fiscal year, the company said in a presentation to investors published on its parent company’s website, yesterday. Al-Makura’s wage review c’ttee recommends 50% salary cut –NLC

The committee set up by Nasarawa state Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, to review public and civil servant salaries has recommended the reduction of workers’ salaries in the state by 50%. Nasarawa State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Abdullahi Adeka, disclosed this to journalists yesterday shortly after the committee submitted its final report to Governor Al-Makura at the Government House, Lafia. Adeka, however, said the state organised labour had back out and rejected the committee’s report following the inclusion of a table to review down the salaries of workers by 50 percent at the 11th hour of the committee’s work.
