Mike Edwards celebrates 1st wedding anniversary

Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem runner-up, Mike Edwards is celebrating his first wedding anniversary with his wife, Perry Shakes-Drayton.


The couple who are expecting their first child together has taken to social media to celebrate their union.


”ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY…this time last year we tied the knot and I became MRS EDWARDS. A lot has happened between then and now. Here’s to more great times and exciting moments ahead.” Perry wrote on social media


On his part, Mike wrote “When two souls connect you can’t fake it” #weddinganniversary’

Mike Edwards reunited with his wife on Sunday, October 6 after 99 days (3 months) apart. This was the grand finale of the Big Brother Naija competition in 2019.


Recall he finished as the runnerup of the competition in Pepper Dem edition.



In a recent interview, Mike disclosed he would be relocating to Lagos to explore opportunities for him.


Mike stated that he would love to explore the entertainment industry, acting and expand his Cigar brand rather than go back and be restricted to a particular lifestyle.


“It’s about maximizing the opportunity that is my goal. I will be relocating to Lagos state, I don’t want to put myself in a jungle. Now it is about working smart, not hard, would be expanding the Aireyys brand.”



When asked on his relationship with Tacha, Mike said that he had issues with Tacha sometimes because she had different personalities.


He mentioned that most times he was confused about which one to address during the show.


Sometimes I did not know which Tacha I was talking to because she had different personalities. One of her personalities I loved was her being nice, innocent and sweet. I expected her to be in the final week,” Mike added.
