Nigerian recording artist, Burna Boy will be releasing his fifth studio album, African Giant on Friday, July 26 and his fans are voraciously awaiting the project release.

 

2019 has been an eventful year for the ‘Anybody’ crooner.

 

Releasing numerous bangers, winning an award at the BET Awards, performing at the Coachella Festival in the US and emerging as one of the major acts on Beyonce‘s The Lion King: The Gift album.

Indeed, Burna Boy has transitioned from being an alternative singer in Nigeria to become one of the most prominent artists in the continent.

 

This past week, Burna Boy had an interview with Billboard where he talked about his coming album and his Music.

During the interview, he said that he wants to take his sound to “Unfamiliar Countries”. He added that he planned to penetrate their music scenes with his music.

 

He Also added that he’s going on another tour soon and he intends to perform in countries like China, among others.

 

When he was asked about his growth locally, he said that Nigerians recognize him now only because the world does.

He said “Nigerians love me a lot more now because they can see that the whole world likes me, too. They think I’m something special, but I’m not. I’m just a human whose skill is making music. The way I see it, everyone plays their own role in the world, and no role is more important than the other”.
