The Federal Government of Nigeria Monday announced the recognition of the Amaju Melvin Pinnick-led executive as the legitimate leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
In a tweet on Monday, minutes before the 12 pm deadline given by FIFA for the resolution of the leadership tussle in the Nigerian football governing body, Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant to the president on Media, Office of the Vice President, said the government had already informed FIFA of the decision.
As a member nation of the global football governing body, the FG said Nigeria will abide by the laws and statue of FIFA.
