Oxlade explains why he is involved in #EndSARS protest

Budding Nigerian act, Oxlade has explained why he is actively involved in the ongoing agitation to end police brutality and extrajudicial killings in the country.

 

Taking to the microblogging site, Twitter on Friday, October 16, Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman real name Oxlade revealed why he is participating in the protests against SARS.

 

Here is what the talented artiste wrote;

“I do this so my kids may live freely in their fathers land”

1st News recalls that the ‘Away’ crooner was injured at a protest ground in Surulere, Lagos on Monday, October 12 after some officers reportedly shot at protesters.

 

His manager, Ojahbee, was also assaulted and wounded following his arrest by the police based on claims that he shot at some officers.

 

Upon Ojahbee’s release from police custody, Oxlade also revealed that he now has a swelling in the brain; and cannot control his fingers.

 

The budding artiste made this known via his Twitter page on Thursday, October 15, 2020; where he shared a photo of the result from the scan carried out on his manager.

 

Although, Ojabudu was arrested and dragged by the Police in Surulere; he was later transferred to Panti. According to a CT scan report, Ojabodu now suffers from brain swelling and has lost control of his fingers.

”My brother has a swelling in his brain and he can’t control his fingers; thanks to the Nigerian Police.

Thank you Nigerian government for failing the youth.

I am lost for words right now, but please keep my brother in your prayers,” he captioned the photo.
