Paul Pogba, Juventus and France midfielder, has acknowledged that he did, in fact, hire a witch doctor.
The 29-year-old former Manchester United star, though, claims he paid the sorcerer to assist him with his injury-riddled career.
In addition, Pogba told investigators working for France’s Central Office for the Fight against Organised Crime (OCLCO) that he was ‘also looking to help poor kids in Africa’ he was in connection with through an aid organisation.
Pogba, however, denies using a mystic on his France teammate, Kylian Mbappe, according to a formal investigation by Paris authorities.
Pogba claims he “never intended to harm anyone” and denies it had anything to do with Mbappé, his international team-mate.

Two judicial sources in Paris confirmed the details as well as the transcript of the interviews conducted last month.
Pogba’s admission follows Mathias’s accusation that ‘The Marabout,’ also known as ‘Ibrahim the Great,’ was paid to cast curses on Mbappé. They claim to have recorded a video showing Pogba speaking to the Marabout.
Mathias is one of five individuals accused of trying to extort the football star out of more than £11 million.
They are currently in custody on remand. They could spend up to 20 years behind bars for a number of offenses, including extortion in an organized gang.
