
Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, are currently present at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria’s conference in Abuja, while the presidential candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, and the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar are absent.
The theme for the conference is; “Nigeria: Adopting Sustainability for Economic Prosperity”.

Other presidential candidates present in addition to Peter Obi and Sowore are; Prof. Christopher Imulomen of the Accord Party and Prof. Peter Umeadi of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
Meanwhile, the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, Ifeanyi Okowa represented ex-Vice President Atiku, while the VP candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Bishop Isaac Idahosa represented candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso.

However, the anchor, Maupe Ogun, a media personality and Nigerian journalist; as well as co-host of Sunrise Daily at Channels TV, noted that Tinubu; or his representative might show up later during the course of the conference.
Meanwhile, the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has said that the National Assembly will pass the 2023 Appropriation Bill of N20.5 trillion before the end of December.
He made this known on Tuesday, October 11, at a reception organised in his honour as a recipient of the national honour award of Grand Commander of the Order of Niger.
President Muhammadu Buhari had, on Friday, presented the 2023 budget of N20.5 trillion before a joint session of the National Assembly.
