Peter Okoye bags honorary doctorate from Escae-Benin University

Nigerian recording artiste, Peter Okoye has recently bagged an honorary doctorate degree from Escae-Benin University, Benin Republic.

Peter Okoye made this announcement on his Instagram platform on Thursday, June 24.

The former member of the now-defunct twin duo, P Square has been recognized by the Benin Republic institution for his contribution to dance and music.

The music star took to his Instagram page on Thursday, June 24, 2021, where he announced the big news.

“Dear Team P! It’s a great honor to be decorated by a distinguished educational institution, Who has recognized my contribution to Dance and Music as well as my support for the youth in the entertainment industry,” he wrote.

“Thanks, you @escaeakpakpacampus @escaeunibenin for this honor😇🙏🏽“- Dr(Hon) Peter Obumneme Okoye Aka Dr P” 👨🏽‍🎓”

This is coming moments after the singer declared himself wealthier than he used to be.

Earlier, the singer and dancer revealed that dissolving P Square has aided him monetarily. Although Okoye did not outrightly call out his siblings, twin brother Paul and elder brother, Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye, Peter, however, insinuated that he is better off without them.

Peter Okoye had this to say;

‘‘Team P! What were they thinking?

That I wasn’t going to survive Alone?

They jus can’t stand the fact that I am Richer now and doing well for myself. Pained!

And this post is for them and them alone! Just Watch them referring this post to my family as usual! Odes! Watch them start preaching!
