Former Mavins record artist, Reekado Banks has taken to his Twitter platform to clear the air pertaining to the scandal that occurred during his interview session on Pop Central TV.


During a live show on Pop Central, Reekado Banks’ interview was interrupted by a lady who called and alleged that he ‘had sex with her and dumped her’.


The interviewer along with the singer was stunned about the confession on national television.

The event would ignite controversy on social media. Reekado was dragged for engaging in sexual intercourse with the young lady without any commitment.


Some of the social media users also cheered the lady for confronting the 25-year-old singer live on air.

After trending on social media for several hours, Reekado Banks has finally taken to his Twitter platform to address the issue.

“It is truly a problem when a media platform begins to pursue shock value at the expense of an artists’ image.

So that was a prank call on a tv show, it was funny then, but I do not like where this is headed!”



Despite Reekado’s claim that it was a prank, numerous social media users have refused to buy his response.


According to a commentator, it was a wrong time for the artist to organizer such a sensitive allegation that could mar his career.
