Rema, Don Jazzy feature in beguiling shoot

Rema has been under the tutelage of Nigerian music honcho, Don Jazzy since he joined his label, Mavins Records in 2019.

 

Rema has achieved mainstream success since becoming a member of Don Jazzy’s record label, he has released numerous smash hits, including ‘Bounce’ in recent times.

 

Since joining Mavins, Rema has continued to improve and express his desire to be respected as one of the best Afro-Fusion artiste to emerge from Nigeria. He has won several awards, most notably the ‘Next Rated Artiste’ at the 2019 Headies Award ceremony.

 

Rema has revealed that he is prepared to release his debut studio album in 2021.

Taking to his various social media platforms, Rema shared several photos of his boss, Don Jazzy and himself suited up.

 

Sharing the photos, he wrote;Just give me the order, I’ll get the job done.”

Equally important, Rema only gained mainstream popularity in 2019.

 

Rema has been dubbed the leader of the new school generation; as he appeared on the cover of Tush magazine.

 

Born Divine Ikubor, he grew up in Nigeria’s bustling Benin City; near the country’s southern coast.

 

He was forced to mature early on after his father died from asthma-related issues; when he was only eight years old. Then, in 2015, his older brother also passed away as well.
He was also forced to go to get a job to help out his mom; who worked as a trader of wholesale goods. “I was lost after losing my brother,” says the youngster.
On July 27, 2020, Nigerian singer, Rema was named one of the ’27 musicians to make 2020 better’ by GQ alongside Doja Cat, as well as Roddy Ricch, also Ari Lennox, and more.
