Cristiano Ronaldo opened his account for Al-Nassr from the penalty spot to salvage a 2-2 draw for his new team against Al-Fateh.
On Friday, Ronaldo scored his first goal for Al-Nassr, but it wasn’t enough to give his new team a victory. The Portuguese superstar, however, ensured that Al-Nassr recovered from behind to salvage a draw at Al-Fateh with his stoppage-time penalty.
Ronaldo looked set for a frustrating day after seeing a goal ruled out for offside. Later, he hit the woodwork and then missed a clear chance. However, he will still steal all the headlines following a sleek finish from the penalty spot.
New signing Cristian Tello had volleyed the hosts in front after just 12 minutes following a weak clearance from goalkeeper Agustín Rossi before Talisca levelled for Al-Nassr just before half-time, sweeping home a low cross.
Then, just before the hour mark, Sofiane Bendebka scored a magnificent goal that appeared to be the game-winner. But there was to be late drama as Al-Nassr won a penalty deep into stoppage time; Ronaldo made no mistake from the spot, firing his kick straight down the middle to secure a 2-2 draw.

Despite the fact that Ronaldo was the greatest celebrity on the field, Sofiane Bendebka of Al-Fateh undoubtedly stole the show. The striker scored a great goal. From a deep cross, the Algerian snuck into space at the far post and cushioned a volley past goalkeeper Rossi.
Al-Nassr’s Talisca Anderson was on target yet again on Friday but can now expect a suspension after a late sending-off. In stoppage time, the attacker made a poor challenge that resulted in a straight red card against a VAR check. Talisca is the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League, thus losing him is a significant loss for Al-Nassr.
