Nigerian singer-songwriter and political activist, Seun Kuti has accused the government of arming bandits with guns.
Seun Kuti, the youngest son of the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti took to his Instagram Live on Wednesday morning to call out the government a day after he was recorded walking out on Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The one-time Grammy award winner dragged the government and accused of instigating the pandemonium which is stalling the progress of the nation.
Seun stated that if Nigerians want banditry to end; all politicians in the country should write down a ‘ list of people they have given guns to’ so that the weapons can be retrieved.
Here is what he said;
”Politicians are the ones giving bandits guns in Nigeria.
Let’s not act like we don’t know.
If we want to end this banditry, all politicians should write down a list of people they’ve given guns to so we can go and collect it back. These are political thugs.”

Seun Kuti is known to be a huge critic of the government.
A couple of months ago, he shared his frustration over the government’s plan to shut down the Afrika Shrine because of his support for the #EndSars protest.
Recall Seun Kuti was among the outspoken celebrities at the peak of the #EndSARS protest in the country.
He made his reservations known about the ideology of the protest.
Seun Kuti went on to say that it appears the average Nigerian is fighting for the issue that affects them; which is police brutality because they want to freely drive their Benz without being harassed.
However, he stated that they do not seem to care about the problems that affect poorer Nigerians.
He said that SARS is not our only problem, adding that NURTW boys collect money from market women, okada riders; as well as bus drivers every day and no one is fighting for them.
